New Freighting Contract Taylors Lime
18 Apr 2011
TNL has recently (Monday 4 April) taken over the contract with Taylors Lime for distribution of bulk lime using their road bulk tanker. The work
involves distribution of four different lime-based products to destinations as far a field as Invercargill City Council and Marlborough District Council and a range of sites in between including Oceania Gold, Macraes Flat.
TNL had to start this work 3 weeks earlier than expected. Derek Nees (TNL Training Manager) came down from Nelson to evaluate the extent of the work and found that "there is no other driver, including myself, that could walk in here and start this work from scratch". This problem required a totally different solution!
Allan Waugh (AKA Skippy) was driving for the previous contractor and, accepted the offer to come across to TNL and continue as before.
Derek collected the replacement tractor unit (#3771) from Christchurch on Sunday 3 April, collected Skippy from Oamaru on Monday, issued him a set of TNL overalls and he has continued to provide the same great service to Taylors Lime and their customers as he had done previously. Thanks Skippy and welcome - we hope you enjoy your time with TNL. Craig Porter (Operations Manager) and Donella Still (Admin and Despatch Manager) at Taylors Lime are as pleased as we are, that this whole transition has gone so smoothly.
We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Taylors Lime.
